Washington State health officials have suspended the license of a Seattle anesthesiologist for allegedly exchanging sexually explicit text messages and sending inappropriate photos of himself during surgeries, states a June 10, 2014, Washington Post article. According to the authorities, the man's "preoccupation with sexual matters" compromised patient safety in a variety of ways from at least April 2013 to August 2013. An investigation revealed that some of the texts were to the anesthesiologist's girlfriend, including one directing her to park in the hospital's doctor's lot to avoid paying a fee, but others were allegedly sent to at least one patient and included photos of the man wearing scrubs with his genitals exposed.
