One of the Country’s Largest Hospitals Reaches Workplace Violence Agreement with OSHA

​One of the largest public hospitals in the United States has reached an agreement with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to enhance its workplace violence prevention efforts, OSHA announced on June 1, 2017. OSHA informed the medical center in 2014 that its employees were exposed to hazardous conditions associated with workplace violence and that adequate prevention programs had not been implemented. In 2015, an OSHA inspection found the facility still had not adequately addressed these concerns, and workers' health and safety remained jeopardized by continued exposure to workplace violence.
