Joint Commission Releases Monograph Addressing CLABSI Prevention

The Joint Commission has released a new monograph that contains the most current information, evidence-based guidance, and resources to help healthcare organizations reduce the risks and resulting harm associated with central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). Produced in partnership with infection prevention leaders from the Society for Hospital Epidemiology of America, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, the National Institutes of Health, and other organizations, the release of the monograph is the first phase of a Baxter Healthcare Corporation research project that will later feature the release of a CLABSI prevention toolkit.
