In a May 4, 2018, Urgent Medical Device Correction letter submitted by ECRI Institute member hospitals, Maquet/Getinge states that fluid ingress may occur in the above intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs), potentially preventing initiation or continuation of therapy.
