CDC Investigates Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure at AZ Anatomical Donation Center

​The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating reports of potential occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens among workers who performed preparation and dissection procedures at a nontransplant anatomical donation center in Arizona, states an article published in the April 25, 2014, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. According to the article, CDC is working with Arizona public health officials to notify former workers of the facility of their possible exposure to HIV, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis and offer them free testing and counseling.
