Twenty-Eight Recommendations for Implementing Antibiotic Stewardship Programs

​The Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America have published new evidenced-based guidelines for implementing an antibiotic stewardship program. The recommendations were created by a panel that included clinicians and investigators from a wide range of specialties, and they address the best approaches to stewardship programs in order to influence the optimal use of antibiotics.
