How Effective Is Your Compliance Program?

​On March 27, 2017, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Inspector General (OIG) released a resource guide of materials drawn from its January 17, 2017, roundtable meeting. Measuring Compliance Program Effective: A Resource Guide provides an outline and metrics for measuring  the seven elements of a compliance program: standards, policies, and procedures; compliance program administration; screening and evaluation of employees, physicians, vendors, and other agents; communication, education, and training on compliance; monitoring, auditing, and internal reporting systems; discipline for non-compliance; and investigations and remediation.
