Healthcare risk managers may be interested in a March 12, 2014, Physicians News Digest article that discusses a New Jersey superior court, chancery division case in which the judge issued an injunction against the father of the child, and ruled that a woman about to give birth has control of the delivery room and can choose to prohibit the father of the child from entering the room. In the case, a man took legal action against his pregnant ex-girlfriend, seeking the right to be notified when she went into labor and to be present in the delivery room for the birth of their child.
