Cardinal Health—Curity All Purpose Sponges: Sterility May Be Compromised​

In a December 27, 2018, Urgent Medical Device Recall letter submitted by an ECRI Institute member hospital, Cardinal Health states that the above sponges may not meet sterilization requirements. Cardinal Health also states that the use of non-sterilized sponges may lead to inflammation, cellulitis, infection, and wound infection.
