The assessment, acquisition, management, and use of medical devices throughout the healthcare facility are critically linked with the quality of patient care. When a healthcare organization introduces a new medical technology, there must be a process through which it can ensure appropriate credentialing and privileging procedures for physicians, and staff, as necessary. These activities involve many departments and individuals. The risk manager should complete this questionnaire annually in conjunction with other individuals responsible for introducing and managing medical technology.
