The Long, Winding Road: Barriers to Safer Care

Recognizing that implementing patient safety and quality initiatives can be a difficult task, Healthcare Risk Control(HRC) asked our members to share their experiences regarding barriers to achieving safer care. While many respondents contend that they have not found the proverbial silver bullet to eliminate these barriers, the responses show how much work is being done to transform healthcare.

In many of the comments left by respondents to the HRCsurvey, "journey" was a recurring theme.
