Sample Mammography Result Letters

The following eight sample letters, developed by ACR (Reston, Virginia), can be used by mammography facilities to communicate exam results to patients. ACR's sample letters cover eight different scenarios:
Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations require interpreting physicians to categorize each mammogram using one of the following six descriptive terms: negative, benign, probably benign, suspicious, highly suggestive of malignancy, or incomplete, need additional imaging evaluation.
