When buying a new endoscope, healthcare facilities should check the compatibility of the endoscope with the reprocessors currently in use at the facility. Users should also verify that they have the proper channel connectors (when applicable) and reprocessing accessories required to adequately reprocess the endoscope. Similarly, when buying a new reprocessor, facilities should ensure that the unit is compatible with the bulk of their endoscope inventory.
