  • The GlideScope Titanium is a cart-based video laryngoscope with reusable blades that is used to support intubation by providing a clear, unobstructed view of the airway and vocal cords.
  • The GlideScope Titanium consists of the following:

    • GlideScope video monitor
      • Includes video laryngoscope display:
        • Size: 16.3 cm (6.4 in), measured diagonally; display is oriented horizontally
        • Resolution: 640 × 480 pixels
        • Brightness: 600 cd/m2
      • Has internal battery, which will power the display for up to 90 minutes
      • Connects to mains power via power adapter and cable
      • Connects to laryngoscope blade via video cable and batons
      • Typically mounted on a cart or IV pole (see list of optional components below)
      • Weight: 1.0 kg (2.2 lb)
      • Size: 17.5 × 22.4 × 7.9 cm (6.9 × 8.8 × 3.1 in)
      • Connections:
        • HDMI video output
        • USB output for recording of pictures and video clips to a connected USB drive
      • Video monitor is reusable, has an ingress protection rating of IP54, and does not need to be disinfected between each patient. However, it should be cleaned on a regular basis and if visibly soiled.
      • The GlideScope video monitor is also compatible with the GlideScope Spectrum Smart Cable and single-use blades as well as AVL video batons with GVL single-use blades. Note that the different types of cables and video batons are not interchangeable; each type of blade (Titanium, Spectrum, and GVL) requires a specific cable (or video baton).
    • Video Cable
      • Connects Titanium blades to GlideScope video monitor.
      • Length: 218.9 cm (86.2 in).
      • The Video Cable is reusable, has an ingress protection rating of IPX8, and should be subjected to low-level disinfection between each patient. It may also be subjected to high-level disinfection.
      • The Video Cable is not compatible with the GlideScope Ranger monitor.
    • Power adapter and power cable
    • Titanium blades
      • Reusable laryngoscope blades that connect to the GlideScope video monitor via the Video Cable and contain both the camera and the electronics that process the video data.
      • Titanium blades should be subjected to high-level disinfection between each patient. The expected life is three years or 3,000 cycles.
