Preview

  • The M20 Mobile UVC system is used to disinfect a room after cleaning, with the goal of reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
  • Major device components:

    • Mobile wheeled tower (casters or handcart model available)
      • Dimensions (L × W × H): 55.1 × 53.3 × 152.4 cm (21.7 × 21 × 60.4 in); weight: 56 kg (124 lb).
        • The manufacturer recommends a single-site, single-device or a single-site, multiple-device approach (the units remain in one location throughout the cycle).
        • Multiple towers can be linked to treat any size room; often multiple units are recommended to treat a patient room. One wireless remote is used per tower. Motion detection by any tower terminates UV output of all linked towers. For transport, multiple devices can be tied together by the handles.
      • The M20 device uses 18 Teflon-coated, low-pressure mercury amalgam UVC lamps, protected by a wire cage and four vertical handles.
      • Power requirements (electrical ratings vary by model number): 120 or 240 VAC, 15 or 20 A, 50 or 60 Hz.
      • UVC intensity (per unit): Approximately 1,700 µW/cm2 at a distance of five feet.
    • A wireless remote with four buttons and indicator LEDs—The user docks the remote in the tower until the "Armed Ready" LED lights up green, then presses "Start."
