Preview

  • The IPT 3200 is used to disinfect a room after room cleaning, with the goal of reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
  • Major device components:

    • Mobile wheeled tower
      • Dimensions (L × W × H): 91.4 × 91.4 × 141.6 cm (36 × 36 × 55.75 in); weight: 16 kg (350 lb)
        • The manufacturer recommends a single-site approach (the unit remains in one location throughout the treatment cycle) for most facilities.
        • Multiple towers can be linked to treat large rooms, using one wireless controller for all towers.
      • Incorporates a rechargeable internal battery to provide a power boost at the beginning of treatment cycles.
        • The power boost is intended to help reduce the required treatment cycle time while maintaining adherence to typical electrical outlet requirements.
        • The power boost lasts about eight minutes before tapering off, depending on battery charge levels. It offers the most benefit when the device is consistently recharged (i.e., plugged in) between treatment cycles, but this is not necessary for effective use of the device.
      • Power requirements: 120/240 V, 20 A, 50/60 Hz
    • A wireless controller with touchscreen (1) The user:
      • Enters a passcode
      • Selects the room number or scans a room bar code
      • Selects the pathogen type—the controller defaults to the "spore" setting
      • Verifies that all safety precautions have been taken
      • Reenters the passcode
