Evaluation: GE Carescape VC150 for Spot-Check Vital Signs Monitoring
February 28, 2018 | Evaluations & Guidance
The GE VC150 vital signs monitor is a good choice for spot-check monitoring applications. The monitor facilitates data export to electronic medical records (EMRs) by supporting standard integration formats and messaging protocols, as well as utilizing existing hospital infrastructure for information transfer. Additionally, the monitor helps in capturing and recording additional observations and assessments, such as pain score and respiration rate, as well as details regarding measurement location and type of sensor. All this additional information helps clinicians obtain a more complete picture of the patient's health status. On the downside, we believe there is a small possibility of a patient's data being lost or mismatched if the user follows an incorrect workflow.
