- The Star Chamber is a do-it-yourself solution for rapid decontamination of N95 FFRs for facilities that are facing shortages. It is intended to be a cost-effective, short-term solution.
- Major components and software features
- Chamber dimensions (H × W × D): 58.4 × 58.4 × 152.4 cm (23 × 23 × 60 in)
- Internal components:
- Two or four low-pressure mercury lamps to generate UVC light
- Twenty-one hooks approximately 15 cm (6 in) long to hang N95 FFRs in the middle of the chamber
- Pull rods to slide the hooks to the front of the chamber for easier access
- An indicator light to alert users and bystanders when a cycle is in progress
