Anesthesia Unit Pre-use Checks—Not Every Step Is Automated

To ensure proper functioning of anesthesia systems, the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) recommends, and ECRI Institute agrees, that a complete check be performed at least before the first case each day and that partial checks be performed before each subsequent case.
