An effective fire drill program is one that is well organized, designed specifically for the individual facility, and supplemented with sound fire safety education. The type of fire drill conducted must involve all staff members so that employees can learn their individual responsibilities in the event of a fire. Fire drills should educate and prepare employees for a worst-case fire scenario and ensure that building occupants can respond during potentially life-threatening situations.
