NPSF Report Outlines Strategies to Improve Patient Safety

​Concluding that, while much has been done to further patient safety in the 15 years since the release of the Institute of Medicine's landmark publication To Err Is Human, much still remains to be accomplished, the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) has released recommendations from an expert panel convened in February 2015 that are intended to set the stage for patient safety in every care setting, including long-term care facilities and patients' homes, over the next 15 years.
