“Do You Know About Sepsis?” New Poster from CDC Can Help Make Sure the Answer is “Yes”
November 17, 2017 | Aging Services Risk, Quality, & Safety Guidance
New posters from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encourage patients to get immediate medical help if they suspect sepsis. Sepsis is the body's extreme response to an infection, and without timely treatment, it can rapidly lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death. The posters feature family members and friends talking to each other about the risks and signs of sepsis, as well as the need to act quickly when it is suspected.
