CMS to Flag Nursing Homes Cited for Resident Abuse on "Nursing Home Compare" Website

What's the news. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that, beginning October 23, 2019, it will add a warning icon on the Nursing Home Compare website to all nursing homes that have been cited regarding abuse, neglect, or exploitation of residents. The icon will be updated monthly when CMS inspection results are updated, and will be used for any facility that is "cited on inspection reports for one or both of the following:
