Majority of Nursing Homes Now Have Comprehensive Antibiotic Stewardship Programs, Survey Says

A national survey of nursing homes regarding the comprehensiveness of their antibiotic stewardship programs from 2017 to 2018 found that 33% of respondents had a "comprehensive" program, 41% had a "moderately comprehensive" program, and 26% had a "not comprehensive" program, according to a study published in the American Journal of Infection Control on August 22, 2019.
