Patients with an asymptomatic infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus causing COVID-19, can carry as much of the virus in their nose, throat, and lungs as patients with symptoms, and for nearly the same amount of time, says an August 6, 2020, study in JAMA Internal Medicine.
