The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has revised its proposal for collection of pay data for employers, including federal contractors, with 100 or more employees after receiving more than 300 comments and holding a public hearing on its initial proposed rule. The revised proposal, published in the July 14, 2016 Federal Register, reiterates the information collection proposal and includes responses to comments received on the initial proposal (see the February 12, 2016 Issues in Continuing Care Risk Management). When finalized, the rule will require employers to add new information to the Employer Information Report (EEO-1), which includes pay data by gender, race, and ethnicity.
