Facing a tight timeline for its work, the Congressional Long-Term Care Commission met for the first time and heard testimony from four witnesses in late June as it began the process of preparing recommendations for Congress on how to best provide long-term care for the aging U.S. population, according to a June 28, 2013, McKnight’sarticle.
