Nursing Home Resident Charged in Beating Deaths of Two Roommates

A 56-year-old Houston, Texas, nursing home resident has been arrested for allegedly beating two of his roommates to death with his wheelchair armrest, according to an April 24, 2014 McKnight's Long-Term Care News & Assisted Living article. A fourth man was reportedly asleep and not harmed during the incident. According to the report, one of the deceased resident's daughters had complained about the alleged assailant's behavior toward her father on more than one occasion, including the day he was killed, but her request to move the assailant was refused.
