In the Courts: Failure to Prevent Subcontractor’s Alleged Billing Improprieties Results in Settlement for Nursing Chain

​A New York operator of skilled nursing facilities has agreed to pay $3.5 million to resolve allegations of submitting inflated Medicare reimbursement claims for therapy provided by its subcontractor, according to a March 2, 2015, Federal Bureau of Investigation press release.
