New Website Streamlines Interstate Medical License Application Process

A new website launched by the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact will make it easier for physicians to become licensed in other states, potentially facilitating telemedicine efforts and allowing more physicians to provide care to patients in rural and underserved areas, according to an April 24, 2017, article from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). The website is designed to streamline the application process by serving as an information exchange between the physician's home state and the state in which they would like to be licensed.
