Annual Cost of Care Study Includes Calculator for Consumers

​On the heels of a March report examining costs for various levels of long-term care nationwide (see the March 13, 2015, Issues in Continuing Care Risk Management), a separate consulting group, Genworth, has posted a long-term care cost calculator for consumers. The calculator, which is also available as an iOS app for Apple devices, allows users to estimate costs for home care, adult day services, assisted living, and skilled nursing in both semiprivate and private rooms. Users can filter data by state and region as well as by cost interval (annually, monthly, daily).
