Focused Dementia Care Surveys Set to Expand in 2015 Following Five-State Pilot

​The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will expand its targeted dementia care surveys in 2015, according to a March 27, 2015, letter to state surveyors. The expansion follows a 2014 pilot program that included surveys in five states. The participating states reported that the surveys were generally a positive experience and that, although they were time-intensive, the surveys yielded valuable results.
