The most common claim allegations against nurse practitioners (NPs) are similar to those against primary care physicians, according to a March 2018 study from The Doctors Co. Diagnosis- and medication-related claims against NPs (48% and 24% of total claims, respectively) were the most common allegations; these were also common claims against physicians.
