​Healthcare organizations are more likely to achieve success with their health information technology (IT) projects if they involve end users in project planning, product selection, and project implementation, says a new report from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The report, Sustainability, Partnership, and Teamwork in Health IT Implementation, identifies this and other strategies for successful adoption of health IT by examining the following four areas: (1) factors that help sustain health IT projects; (2) tips for working with health IT vendors; (3) methods to involve health IT end users; and (4) ways for healthcare organizations to foster health IT partnerships with each other.
