​During her three and a half weeks at a rehabilitation facility, a patient developed a stage 4 pressure ulcer on her tailbone, as well as pressure ulcers on her heels. In a lawsuit the patient brought against her attending physicians and nurse practitioner in federal court in Massachusetts, the jury has returned a defense verdict, according to an article in the August 2021 Medical Malpractice Verdicts, Settlements & Experts.
