Recommendations for Safer Opioid Prescribing

There is no single solution to the opioid crisis in the United States. However, health information technology (IT) plays a vital role in combatting this epidemic. ECRI, in collaboration with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Association, through the Partnership for Health IT Patient Safety, recently brought together health IT developers and other safety professionals with the expertise to look at how technology can contribute to safer opioid prescribing.
