Marcus Schabacker Speaks at Milken Institute’s Future of Health Summit 2019

Washington, D.C.

Tuesday, October 29, 2019 | 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Overview

The Future of Health Summit convenes thought leaders and decision makers to confront some of the world’s most significant health challenges by matching human, financial, and educational resources with the most innovative and impactful ideas.

During a panel discussion titled Flipping the Script: Designing the System to Deliver for Patients at the Milken Institute’s Future of Health Summit 2019, Schabacker and experts will discuss how the outgrowth of consumerism in all aspects of health and health care is the expectation that patients must be a critical partner in the design of solutions intended to improve their health. Today, there are hundreds of patient organizations, each with a wide range of expertise and infrastructure to pursue research and partner with innovators. Their role as the end-user has been catalyzed by the actions of Congress and regulators in redefining patient engagement in research and medical-product innovation.
