With today's connected healthcare environment, investing in medical device cybersecurity can no longer be optional. Many healthcare systems still utilize outdated and unsupported operating systems, which pose an additional threat to the network.

During the FOCUS Fall 2018 Conference, Marc Schlessinger, senior associate of the applied solutions group at ECRI Institute, will lead a session titled Medical Device Cyber Security to address what actions hospitals should take to manage medical device cybersecurity. In this session, Schlessinger will focus on the risks and why healthcare is a target, how to address specific cybersecurity issues, and how to minimize the danger of medical device cybersecurity attacks.
