The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is leading a patient safety initiative to help hospitals reduce the incidence of falls and pressure ulcers. This federally funded project is offered free of charge to qualifying hospitals as they implement AHRQ's falls and pressure ulcers toolkits. Trained hospital quality improvement specialists will work with selected hospitals for two years to provide training, technical assistance, and ongoing support via in-person workshops, webinars, and regular conference calls. We are currently accepting applications. To learn more, please contact Maura Crossen-Luba, ECRI Institute, at mcrossen-luba@ecri.org. Additionally, AHRQ will be offering two informational Webinars to provide information about the initiative and to answer questions that hospitals may have about participating in this program. The first is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, and the second will occur on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.
