Theresa A. Tavernier, MBA, SHRM-SCP
Vice President of Human Resources
Theresa Tavernier joined ECRI in 2018 as the Vice President of Human Resources, with over twenty years of experience as a human resource (HR) Leader. She is responsible for all HR operations including policy design, recruitment and engagement strategies, performance management, compensation programs, HR information systems, training and development, benefit plan design, and compliance.
Tavernier has held executive HR leadership roles across numerous industries, including finance, banking, technology, professional services, higher education, and retail. Her background is broad-based, and she has deep experience in the full complement of HR functions within public, private, global, and startup organizations.
Tavernier has extensive management and leadership experience in business settings ranging from startup to divestiture, and she has played integral roles in successful mergers and acquisitions. Her hands-on experience leading HR initiatives includes driving employee engagement during times of change, workforce planning and development, and process re-engineering for HR teams. She has built and managed HR teams on a regional, national and global basis, and has successfully developed and implemented HR strategies to align with and strengthen operations.
Tavernier earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and earned her MBA from Temple University. In addition, she is certified as a senior professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP). Tavernier is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and holds the position of VP, Workforce Readiness on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Pennsylvania SHRM chapter.
