Ronni P. Solomon, Esq., serves as executive vice president and general counsel at ECRI Institute. She has overall responsibility for ECRI Institute’s legal affairs and healthcare safety, risk and quality initiatives. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare law, risk management, and patient safety. She is a member of ECRI Institute’s executive team. Solomon has developed and led many ECRI Institute initiatives and programs for the public and private sectors on patient safety and quality of care, including ECRI Institute PSO, a federally certified patient safety organization, as well as other widely used programs for risk management and compliance, certification and education programs, information programs, databases, and special projects.
Solomon leads and participates in numerous healthcare safety and quality programs in the United States and internationally, lectures frequently, and has authored several book chapters and articles. She has served as a member of The Joint Commission’s Patient Safety Advisory Group and its Sentinel Event Alerts Advisory Committee and on the boards of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, and the Center for Aging Services Risk Management, among other positions.
Solomon received her JD from Widener University School of Law with honors. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Temple University.
