Ronni P. Solomon, J.D.
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Solomon, Esq., serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. She has
overall responsibility for ECRI Institute’s legal affairs, human resources
functions, and healthcare safety, risk and quality initiatives. She has over 20 years of experience in
healthcare law, risk management, and patient safety. She is a member of ECRI
Institute’s executive team. She developed and led many ECRI Institute
initiatives and programs for the public and private sectors on patient safety
and quality of care, including ECRI Institute PSO, a federally certified
patient safety organization, as well as other widely used programs for risk
management and compliance, certification and education programs, information
programs, databases, and special projects.
Ms. Solomon leads and participates in numerous healthcare safety and quality
programs in the United States and internationally and has frequently lectured
and authored several chapters and articles. She has served as a member of The Joint Commission’s Patient Safety
Advisory Group, the Board of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management,
the Joint Commission’s Sentinel Event Alerts Advisory Committee, the Board of
the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, the Board of the Center
for Aging Services Risk Management, and other positions.
Ms. Solomon is an attorney, and received her JD from Widener Law with
honors. Her undergraduate studies were
completed at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
