Improving Medical Product Safety Alert Management 
ECRI Institute discusses strategies at April 10 Web conference 

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA—While responding to medical product recall notices is mandatory, educating clinical staff about common user errors is essential for preventing adverse events. To help hospitals deal with these important patient safety issues, ECRI Institute presents “How To Develop An Effective Alert Management Program,” a live, interactive Web conference on Thursday, April 10, 2008, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. EDT.

This Web conference features expert speakers from ECRI Institute and leading hospitals who will provide insight on how to:

  • Implement best practices for establishing an effective safety alert management program.
  • Prevent common hazards with an effective safety alert management program.
  • Apply the five most important measures a hospital can take to improve safety, decrease costs, and increase efficiency related to managing safety alerts.
  • Address the often conflicting information from manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and the press in regards to safety alert notices.
