It discusses the details of the rule, present-on-admission codes and conditions for payment, and response strategies and includes lists of standards and guidelines to prevent such events, codes that CMS states are associated with a hospital-acquired condition, and ECRI Institute resources that may assist facilities in addressing the rule.
