Annual Health Policy Conference

About our Annual Conferences
Each fall, ECRI Institute hosts an annual health policy conference uniting perspectives of stakeholders throughout the healthcare community in addressing broad issues about the accessibility and use of medical technology, pharmaceuticals, procedures, and health services. The conference focuses on timely and thought-provoking issues. Topics over the past 15 years have included comparative effectiveness, evidence-based medicine, dilemmas of risk, coverage decision-making, morbid obesity, chronic pain, and medical errors.

National Collaborators and Speakers
Esteemed organizations collaborate with ECRI Institute on the content of the program. Regular collaborators have included Milbank Memorial Fund, Kaiser Permanente, Leonard Davis Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Internationally recognized speakers provide thought-provoking medical, regulatory, business, consumer, and legal perspectives.

Continuing Education
The conference typically offers continuing education credits in several fields, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

Preconference Methodology Course
In conjunction with the conference, ECRI Institute offers a methodology course featuring in-depth instruction by experts in the field of health services research plus staff from our Evidence-based Practice Group. The course compliments the conference by providing hands-on training, break-out discussion groups, and focused instruction about health technology assessment and methodology.
